About Us

Pat and Dick Henley have been growing daylilies for over 15 years at their home on Poplar Creek Road, in Fairfield County, Ohio. The garden is an American Hemerocallis Society Display Garden and contains over 1,000 cultivars, and many of the species daylilies from China and Korea. The garden also contains a large number of hosta cultivars along with many other perennials and woody plants.  

Pat holds a Ph.D. in horticulture from The Ohio State University. She has written several articles for The Daylily Journal and contributed to the AHS Fifty Year Anniversary book. She is recognized as an expert on the pests and diseases of daylilies. She is retired from the Ohio Department of Agriculture. 

Dick is a graduate of The Ohio State University and is retired from IBM and Abbott Laboratories. He and Pat are exhibition and garden judges for the American Hemerocallis Society. Dick is also an exhibition and garden judge for the American Hosta Society.
